URBIS Brno
A small game that made its way around the whole fair
- Game type
- Mini game / conference handout
- Goal
- Create a small, easy-to-distribute item that gets people interacting
For the URBIS conference in Brno, we designed a mini game inspired by the Royal Game of Ur, one of the oldest board games still playable today. Its name naturally linked the world of games with the event’s name and its smart cities theme.
The game was small, light, easy to produce, and quick to learn. Just right for handing out, carrying around the hall, and playing with someone you had only just met. It gradually appeared across the stands and became a natural way to start networking.
Why it worked
Visitors received a reason to stop, sit down, and start a conversation.
