Thinking about a game for your company and wondering what’s involved? You don’t need finished rules or artwork to get started. Just tell us who the game is for, what you want it to achieve, how many copies you need and when.
We handle custom board game design and production from the first idea through to delivery. The same applies to card games and mini games.
How does the process work?
1. We agree on the brief and budget.
We discuss your audience, main message and how you’ll use the game. Then we recommend a format and decide what the project will include.
2. We design the gameplay.
We can adapt one of our existing formats or develop original rules from scratch. We plan the content, playing time and components, then test the game to make sure it works and the rules are easy to follow.
3. We create the artwork and print files.
We match the whole game to your brand, from the cards and board to the rules and box. If you have your own designer, we’ll provide templates and technical requirements.
4. We produce and deliver your games.
Production begins once you’ve approved the production files and paid the agreed deposit. We take care of printing, assembly, quality checks, packing and delivery.
How much does a custom game cost?
We price each project individually. The main factors are:
The number of copies ordered.
The type and number of components.
Rules development and testing.
The amount of artwork and illustration.
Materials and packaging.
Adapting an existing format usually takes less development than creating a completely new game. With larger orders, preparation costs are spread across more copies. A basic brief helps us give you a more accurate estimate.
What’s the minimum order, and how long does it take?
The minimum order is 100 copies for every game type.
A complete project typically takes 1 to 3 months, depending on its scope. Production itself usually takes around 3 to 8 weeks, depending on the quantity and complexity of the game. Allow time for design, testing and approvals too. We’ll confirm the delivery deadline in your quote.
